Amen. I just don't see how allowing gay people to get married infringes on anyone else's rights to do anything. I'm also pretty sure the Declaration of Independence DOESN'T say, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...UNLESS THOSE MEN BE GAY" or "BUT NOT APPLICABLE FOR THOSE WHOM THE MAJORITY DEEM DETESTABLE". Of course, like most lofty ideals, we hold this up for respect and veneration but not for proper implementation, as in the case of homosexual rights.
I think people lack the subtlety of thought to properly process the idea of “homosexual rights”, and see this as a special set or category or privilege, but they are in fact just the same rights that the rest of us already possess, no more, and certainly no less. Often I hear many of my fellow straight people bitch that homosexuals are just seeking special rights with legislation to get what they want. Bullshit. All gays and lesbians are doing is trying to enact laws to remove ridiculous obstacles so they can access to have their natural rights. That hardly constitutes special favor, special privilege or special rights. It's sad that homosexuals have to go to such extremes just to get to the rights that the rest of us take for granted.
