Khan!!!

Ricardo Montalban has died at age 88.  Probably most famous for his TV series, Fantasy Island, Montalban will live forever in the hearts of geeks everywhere as Khan Noonein Singh from The Wrath of Khan, arguably the best of the films based on Star Trek: The Original Series.

William Shatner got to ham it up as always but Montalban stole every scene.  Maybe that's why the two never actually shared screen time. Hmm?  Anyway, Montalban's Khan was gloriously evil, seductive and in fantastic shape.  I mean, damn.  The man was hot.  And he was 61 when he made that film.

Besides Fantasy Island and Star Trek, Montalban was really a ground breaker as one of the first Latin American stars in Hollywood.  He lent his voice in later years to many popular animated series including Kim Possible and Family Guy.

He will be missed.

I was sad, too. It's like Fantasy Island died.
