Oh. My. God.

They're remaking that 80s classic Red Dawn.

Why? And just who is going to be the bad guy in this flick? Not the Soviet Union. They're gone. Can't see the Chinese. Who wants to piss them off? Not the Canadians, either. Sorry, Bad Tux ;)  I know! I know!

The Right-Wing nutjobs! They'll be the bad guy! They'll try to take over the country and be thwarted by high school students. Yes!

I'd watch that.

Well, I guess this'll give me an opportunity to re-live a moment in my youth...when I didn't see the original Red Dawn, just like I won't go to see this one...

I can't write this on my own blog. But it is probably safe over here.

First day introductions. A female student (actually really sweet) described herself like this, "I am a totally, 100%, completely fulfilled Republican."

Since it was the first day and all and I did not want to deal with her parents calling, I did not quip back, "how can you be fulfilled when you are not old enough to vote yet?"

I so do not want to meet her parents.

I must confess, I thought it was sorta silly the first time... I can't believe there's an audience, but I like your take!

So.
Should I watch the original first do you think? Wasn't Patrick Swayze in it? Young and hot. I may watch it just for that.
Another movie in my missed repoitore. I'm going to sign up for Netflix again!

Noooooo! They can't remake it. And they definitely can't be thwarted by US high school students. Too much apathy. Then again, it would give them something new to put in their FB status updates. Mood: Revolution. Now that's definitely only going to happen in the movies.
