The political races in Alabama must be entertaining as hell. Certainly, the race for Ag Commissioner is turning out to be a laugh fest, though maybe not the way this candidate intended.
Guns, horses, harsh words and accusations of yard sign theft. Can't get any better than that.
In all seriousness, the level of crazy currently espoused by the Republican party in this country is alarming. Did you hear about Newt Gingrich and his interview on Fox where Chris Wallace called him "wildly over the top". Dude, when Fox news tells you you've gone to far you know you've entered the Twilight Zone.
Gingrich compared Obama to the Nazis. Again with the Nazi thing. Though he did make the caveat that he wasn't thoroughly evil just that he posed as great a threat to America. So that makes it, you know, better.
Gingrich was always a bit of nut but he seems to have embraced the far right elements running the circus and stepped over into crazyland. He should be careful, as all who through around the term Nazi, or Lewis Black might do this:

Back in Black - Glenn Beck's Nazi Tourette's | ||||

That my friends, is a thing of beauty.

One thing I'll say for Dale Peterson: he's made himself just about completely parody-proof. I mean, he's got his horse weighing in on the race...
Oh, Mom. Where do you find this stuff?
Man, I'm confused. I always thought that the Democrats were the "commies" and the Republicans were the "fascists". What do all those freakazoid white supremacist American nazi dudes think of Glenn Beck calling Obama a Nazi? This must freak them out!
And that Dale Peterson ad is amazing! Totally something off Saturday Night Live.
